Did the EPS miss a body when investigating an (attempted) murder, AGAIN? Come on, if they did that I'm sure that it would be headline news... glaringly placed in front of everyone... immediately. That didn't happen... I saw the media release last night and waited to read more about it... low and behold, radio silence. It wasn't until after most people had already read their news and began their day that anything was released. Even then... Nicholas Frew from the CBC did a short article on it that he didn't share to his social media accounts. If you've found anything from the larger media sources in the city that indicates that this was meant to be put front and center for the public, I'd love to read it.
So, did the EPS miss a dead body for the second time in four years? Well slap my ass and call me Sally, they did!
A female body was found at 111 avenue and 93 street on August 14th during a welfare check. This address might seem familiar to you as the police responded to it after receiving a weapons complaint, just one day prior… Carmen Pervez, the owner of the building, was shot in the head and taken to hospital.
In September of 2017 another murder was being investigated at 11119 94 street, just one block over from the most current scene. The proximity of the two houses leaves a lot of questions for me… but we’ll venture there another day. As a sneak peak into something else that is odd about this incident… officer faced charges over missed body, made a complaint regarding withheld information… smacked with additional charges as a result. You guessed it: white shirts involved… but back to the most recent WTF incident.

There are so many questions: they were looking for evidence on an attempted murder, so a successful one was outside of their purview? Do we know that it was successful at that point? Was this woman alive when Carmen was taken to hospital? Could she have been saved? I know that I’ve been using humor to bring attention to what has been happening but that question popping into my mind took that away instantaneously… the thought is fucking terrifying.
Everything in me is saying that it was an accident but how do you not consider that police may have not done their full job because of who the investigation surrounded?
Information used above:
This is a graphic of the area outlining what has happened in the past three days... plus 2017. I don't know if the three locations are related to one another but I believe that we will all benefit from finding out.
A: Carmen Pervez shot August 13, 2021
A: Female boy found August 14, 2021
B: Additional body missed during investigation September 2017
C: Suspicious death, wounded man found walking August 12, 2021
